As the first step to learning Chinese, 300 hours is the required course. During this period, students use TLI materials to master Pinyin, 350 basic sentence patterns and 2500 commonly used vocabulary is introduced. Having finished this course, one can use Chinese to talk freely in your daily life and communicate with your Chinese colleagues and clients. |

Picture Story |
Picture story, 60 hrs This is a set textbook which has volume of drawing and volume of text. Your teacher will instruct you by having you looking at the drawing in the scene, say a story about the picture by speaking Chinese. This curriculum is very relaxing and interesting, more importantly, your spoken Chinese will be fluent. |

Note: Individual classes may start at anytime and do not have to follow the calendar.

Note: All fees are to be paid in full upon registration at the TLI Beijing Wangfujing Language Center. Payment can be made in cash (RMB) at the school.

Please list your name and ¡° TLI Wangfujing in Beijing ¡± in the REFERENCE or NOTATION section of the transfer form.
3. Send a scan of the completed application form and a photocopy of your wire transfer receipt via email to tli@bjtli.net.
4. For the students who need to apply for X visa(students¡¯ visa),the above documents must be received one-and-one-half months before the start of the term (or desired starting date for individual classes) to allow enough time for arrangement of visas and classes. If documents need to be express mailed due to lack of time, the student is responsible for the cost.
5. The applicant will be sent a letter of acceptance and JW202 form which should be taken to the nearest Chinese Embassy or Consulate to obtain an X Class Entry Visa. Students who utilize the school¡¯s services to acquire a visa are required to attend a minimum of 15 hours of individual class a week.
6. Lessons are scheduled on a monthly basis according to students request. After students hand in the monthly schedule,TLI assign teachers and issue the bill for tuition fee.Neither refunds, schedule changes nor make-ups is possible after the beginning of each term (month) for classes missed due to student absences for any reason or work stoppages declared by the PRC government. If unable to attend a class, a student may not send another person in his place.

Note : All fees are listed in RMB and are to be paid in full upon registration at the TLI Beijing Wangfujing language Center. Payment can be made in cash (major currencies).
***** Classes held outside the 4th Ring Road will be subject to an additional fee to cover teachers' transportation costs.
Conditions :
1. Tuitions for the entire term must be paid before the start of each term.
If tuitions are not paid by this time, the student will not be permitted
to attend classes.
2. Tuitions are calculated on a term basis. No refunds can be made for class
hours lost due to student absences or natural disasters in which PRC
government declares a work stoppage.
3. Tuitions do not include textbooks, workbooks, audio tapes, or any
other study materials.
4. All schedule changes and class cancellations must be made at least 24hours
before the study session begins. After this time, all fees
are non-refundable.
Accommodations:
We can provide accommodation with Chinese families/Fmaily hotel. If interested, please tick the appropriate box on the application form.
Home stay(stay with chinese family)

Tuition Deposit / Visa Application Fee:
All students are required to make a RMB800 tuition deposit /USD800 visa deposit (if applicable) with their application. The deposits will be deducted from the cost of the student¡¯s final scheduled period of study at our center. Please note that the prices given for arranging the visa are the prices for 2008. The government may change the cost of the visa in 2009. If you would like us to arrange a visa, you can email us and we will give you more information.
Books and Tapes:
Tuition does not include books and tapes. Students should expect to spend approximately
RMB 150 on books and RMB160 on CD¡¯s every 1-2 months.
Living Expenses:
Students should plan on a minimum cost of RMB3300 per month for food and other daily expenses
in addition to accommodation costs.

The following list of holidays is provided so that you may better plan your personal activities for the 2009 academic year. Please note that the dates of the holidays are not fixed and may be changed slightly.
